Soccer Nova Scotia Celebrates 100% Club Licensing Across Member Youth Clubs
Soccer Nova Scotia, in collaboration with Canada Soccer, is proud to announce that three additional member clubs have been awarded designations through the Canada Soccer Club Licensing Program as part of the March 2025 cohort. We extend our congratulations to these clubs for their commitment and effort in achieving these important milestones.
This achievement marks a significant moment for the province—100% of Nova Scotia’s youth member clubs now hold a recognized Canada Soccer Club Licensing designation, underscoring a province-wide commitment to excellence in soccer development.
These newly designated clubs join others across the province that have already met the standards set by Canada Soccer. In total, all 43 youth member clubs in Nova Scotia have now achieved Club Licensing status, an impressive accomplishment that reflects the strength and unity of our soccer community.
At Soccer Nova Scotia, we are committed to fostering accessible, inclusive, developmentally appropriate, and fun soccer experiences. We applaud our member clubs for embracing the principles of the Canada Soccer National Youth Club Licensing Program, which promotes high standards both on and off the pitch.
Recognized Clubs and Their Licensing Designations
The following clubs have demonstrated dedication to creating safe, inclusive, and high-quality soccer environments for all participants:
📌 Member Association Level 1
Storm Soccer Club
The Member Association Level 1 (MA1) designation is awarded to clubs that demonstrate strong governance, operational excellence, and a commitment to quality programming at all levels of play. Storm Soccer Club now joins Halifax City, Cape Breton FC, Halifax County United, Inter Halifax, South Shore United FC, United DFC, and Valley United SC in achieving MA1 status. This designation is a requirement for all youth AAA clubs heading into the 2025 outdoor season.
📌 Quality Soccer Providers
Guysborough County United
Somerset & District Soccer Club
The Quality Soccer Provider (QSP) designation is the entry point into Canada Soccer’s Club Licensing Program. It recognizes clubs that meet foundational standards for delivering safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate programming. We commend Guysborough County United, Somerset & District Soccer Club and West Hants United for their hard work in reaching this important milestone.
Looking Ahead
Soccer Nova Scotia remains committed to supporting all member clubs year-round as they maintain and work to elevate their licensing designations.
