LF Training Steps Outlined

Where & When Does Training Happen?
- Training occurs in parallel to the delivery of the Canada Soccer Grassroots Coach Education Courses (GCEs).
- The GCEs are delivered, within clubs, in the spring (before the summer season starts) or in the fall (before the winter season starts).
- LF training steps 3, 4, and 5 (refer to LF training steps outlined) occur in two windows:
- Window 1: April, May, and June
- Window 2: September, October, and November
- Fill in the application form to start the process, or connect with Nino Kovačević at strategicdev@soccerns.ca to ask more questions prior to applying.
Who Can Take the Training?
- Club staff who work in soccer development spaces are the target demographic.
- If you are a club or a region that does not have access to paid staff, we encourage you to identify a community champion that has experience coaching plus teaching or working with adults in a developmental role.
- We are only going to be working with individuals who are members of sanctioned clubs and/or regions.
How do I apply?
- Prior to applying, your club should be a Member in Good Standing and you should have the following training:
- Trained Coach – possesses any one or combination of the following (Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn 2 Train, Soccer 4 Life, C-License Trained/Certified)
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check or Enhanced Police Check
- eLearning EAP
- Making Headway – Soccer
- Making Ethical Decisions, including MED evaluation
- If you do not know your NCCP number, email coach@coach.ca to retrieve it

- Connect with your president or ED and have them fill out the recommendation form found here: https://form.jotform.com/221846685401256
- SNS will subsidize the cost of all the parts associated with LF training
