Soccer Nova Scotia is seeking a minimum of six (6) qualified candidates to serve on its League Committee commencing October 2021.

  • 3 Metro Reps (Reside in Halifax Regional Municipality)
  • 3 Rural Reps (Reside outside of the Halifax Regional Municipality)

The NSSL committee is not a representative committee. It is populated from a mixture of volunteers, and club/district/league staff who have a background in club and league play.

The Advisory Committee is a collaborative effort on behalf of Soccer NS, that will produce final recommendations to the League Manager of the NSSL for many aspects of the league.

We strongly encourage individuals within member clubs that have an interest in helping provide structure to the NSSL in the areas of administration and policy development. Selected nominees will be willing to serve a two (2) year term. Nominees must be able to meet 4 times annually.

In addition, the nominees will be over the age of 18 years, have a current Criminal Record Check, and have the support of their respective Club, District and/or League. If you are chosen, you will be responsible to complete “respect in workplace” training which will be paid by Soccer Nova Scotia.

Interested candidate should submit a one-page document including the following:

  • Can Candidate’s club/district/league
  • Area of residence
  • Indicate relevant experience and years served
  • Highlight personal skills and qualities that would be helpful to this committee

Please send your one page document to Brad Lawlor executivedirector@soccerns.ca  by Thursday, October 7th, 2021. Committee members will be selected based on experience, gender requirements, and regional requirements.
