Update June 3, 2020
Thank you for your patience waiting for information on the upcoming season during these unprecedented times. A Return to Soccer Activity Plan has been created by Soccer Nova Scotia, but has not yet been approved by Canada Soccer or the Province of Nova Scotia. See below for the link to Soccer Nova Scotia’s Return to Soccer Activity – 5 Step Process.
The Return to Soccer Activity Plan has multiple phases and starts with social distance training in small groups once approved. On June 1, Soccer Nova Scotia and its Member leagues announced that there will be no sanctioned soccer activity such as exhibition games, league games, tournaments or Provincial Championships for the 2020 summer season. See below for the link for this announcement.
An Indoor season in some areas may be possible later in the fall, but is dependent on how things progress within the province. With no games or competitions this summer, there will be no opportunity to officiate. It is unlikely that there will be School Soccer (NSSAF), ACAA or AUS in the fall, but is uncertain at this time. Please keep in mind that to officiate should an Indoor soccer season, ACAA, AUS and/or NSSAF championships proceed in the fall/winter, referees must be registered and have completed a refresher course.
We will continue to update this page with information as it becomes available.
Online modules of the Referee Refresher Course have been created due to the inability to offer in-person Referee Refresher Courses.
