Soccer Nova Scotia is seeking a minimum of six (6) qualified candidates to serve on its Competitions/ Leagues Committee commencing October 2021.

  • 3 Metro Reps (Reside in Halifax Regional Municipality)
  • 3 Rural Reps (Reside outside of the Halifax Regional Municipality)

The Soccer NS Competition/League Committee is not a representative committee. It is
populated from a mixture of volunteers, who have a background in organizing competitions and/or leagues at the community, district and/or provincial level.

The Advisory Committee is a collaborative effort on behalf of Soccer NS, that will produce final recommendations for all competitions and Leagues throughout NS.

We strongly encourage any league administrator throughout the province to apply for this committee. This committee will be tasked to work together to create a unified structure for all competitions and leagues throughout Nova Scotia.

Selected nominees will be willing to serve a two (2) year term. Nominees must be available to attend Regional/Provincial Championships and attend Competition Meetings 4 times annually.  In addition, the nominees will be over the age of 18 years, have a current Criminal Record Check, and have the support of their respective Club, District and/or League.

If you are chosen, you will be responsible to complete “respect in workplace” training which will be paid for by Soccer Nova Scotia.

Interested candidate should submit a one-page document including the following:

  • Candidate’s club/district/league
  • Area of residence
  • Indicate relevant experience and years served
  • Highlight personal skills and qualities that would be helpful to this committee

Please submit to Brad Lawlor Executivedirector@soccerns.ca by Thursday, October 7th, 2021. Committee members will be selected based on experience, gender requirements, and regional requirements.
