In collaboration with Canada Soccer’s AccelerateHER program, Soccer NS is proud to announce that we will be hosting our first-ever Women’s only CONCACAF C Diploma.
Designed to empower women in the soccer coaching community, providing them with essential training, support and certification, this course is only available to Nova Scotia residents and will be offered at no cost to all participants. This includes:
- Cost of the course and evaluation
- Respect in Sport – Activity Leader training
- Travel and accommodation (where applicable)
- Providing of on-site childcare
- A designated Coach Mentor for each participant
The C Diploma develops the student coach’s capacity to meet the demands of coaching grassroots soccer and is the entry licence to the Advanced Coach Education Pathway. The course will provide both theoretical and hands-on training, model sessions from some of the country’s leading Coach Developers, and networking opportunities, all designed to enhance the learning experience.
The C Diploma will be conducted through a series of online and in-person sessions, offering a flexible and comprehensive learning experience. The course schedule is:
- Independent Online Asynchronous: Completed Before Nov 1
- Collaborative Online Synchronous 1: Nov 13 (1.5hrs)
- Collaborative Online Synchronous 2: Dec 11 (1.5hrs)
- Collaborative Online Synchronous 3: Jan 15 (1.5hrs)
- In-Person – Classroom and field 1: Feb 22 & 23 (full days)
- In-Person – Classroom and field 2: March 22 & 23 (full days)
- In-Person – Classroom and field 3: April 12 & 13 (full days)
In-person location: BMO Soccer Centre, Halifax

If we receive more than 30 applicants, priority will be given to coaches who are endorsed by Soccer NS member organizations who are Canada Soccer Club License Holders.
