To be eligible, applicants must be registered members of Soccer Nova Scotia and must be starting post-secondary studies at a Canadian university or college in September of the year they apply.
The awards/scholarships are non-renewable, payable after September 15th upon confirmation of enrollment and payment at a Canadian university or college. The award/scholarship is payable by cheque in the name of the award/scholarship recipient. The deadline to provide proof of registration and payment is January 31 of the following year or you may forfeit your award.
Successful recipients of Soccer Nova Scotia awards/scholarships must agree that a photograph of themselves may be used for promotional purposes and submit a short Thank You acceptance video. Video criteria will be sent with recipient acceptance letters.
As an applicant for the Soccer Nova Scotia awards/scholarships, the following documents must be submitted online by the designated deadline:
1. Completed Online Application
2. High School Official Transcripts (Grade 11 and Grade 12 to January of the year applying)
3. A colour head-shot photograph of yourself for promotional purposes – graduation or school photo preferred
4. Letter(s) of Recommendation, Reference Letter(s)
Certain awards/scholarships may have additional criteria required such as an essay. This will be indicated on the application form.
The completed application and all documents are to be submitted online by the deadline date of May 15, 2024.
Successful applicants should expect to be notified by email between May 27 and May 31.
